Why Gymnastics Gym Can’t Match Real Parkour Training in Murrieta

When it comes to learning parkour, not all gyms are created equal.
Some gymnastics gyms may offer “parkour” programs, but as gymnastics gyms, they have, by definition, split their focus away from their core competency (gymnastics) and are possibly treating parkour as simply a marketing gimmick.

Because of that, gymnastics-focused gym coaches may be unable to offer an authentic parkour curriculum, course design, or culture.
It is our opinion that kids who train parkour in a soft and squishy gymnastics might be setting are priming themselves for high impact and injury should they ever try parkour in a real setting such as outside.
Gymnastics gyms simply are not equipped to teach kids how the sport of parkour functions in a real-world setting (outdoors) because kids learn on only soft surfaces.
A legit parkour gym will offer the following
The word “Parkour” is clear on their marketing materials
A purpose-built parkour gym, composed of parkour training equipment.
The sport of parkour is clearly the gym's primary focus and core competency
They have a Head Coach for their parkour program
The gym’s coaches follow a robust parkour curriculum
The coaches themselves love parkour and practice it often while not at work
The parkour coaches have received a parkour certification

Don't settle for a program that’s "parkour-inspired" at a gymnastics gym. At Freedom in Motion, you’re getting the real deal with the right equipment and top-notch, parkour-specialized coaches.
Freedom in Motion (FiM) is Murrieta’s only parkour-specific gym, designed entirely around the art of parkour, not gymnastics. Our mission goes beyond just teaching tricks; we focus on enriching lives through purposeful movement, courage-building, and play.
Unlike the soft mats and equipment used in gymnastics, FiM’s setup is designed to mimic real-world environments.
Our athletes train on equipment specifically made for parkour—walls, rails, and vaults—under the guidance of certified parkour coaches. Don't settle for a program that treats parkour as only a marketing gimmick.
At Freedom in Motion, you’re getting the real deal with the right equipment and top-notch, parkour-specialized coaches.
